After nearly 11 ½ years and over 4,000 wonderful walks, Armistead laid down for the last time this past Thursday morning. He had slowed down this past year and suffered from stiff joints, but was always interested in a walk, a chewie, and a rub. He passed at home in his backyard which he loved. Over his long life he gave us hundreds of wonderful memories and taught us a great deal, like:
Walk everyday! Not only is it good exercise, but you also get to know the seasons, the smells, and other people.
Stop and smell the roses(pee-mail); it gives you a chance to chill out and look around.
Snacks(chewies) Rule! Enjoy several everyday and hide those you don’t have time to eat right away.
Running around without worry (off-leash) is the best kind of freedom. Do it often – if you can get away with it!
Family is king! Show them you love them every day and take lots of photos.
Armo was a BIG dog. He filled up our lives and so his passing leaves a very large hole in our hearts.
Thanks for being his friend.
