Berry

November 19, 2016 by

Almost fifteen years ago our family was so lucky to bring this little guy home from the mall. Some other family could have had him. Words can’t describe how hard losing Berry is. We know Berry knew how much joy he brought our life having him by our side. Berry was the best, sweetest dog anyone could ever have. None of us ever thought we could love something so much. Berry was so special to all of us and truly made our home a home. We miss his cute face, with those eyes smiling at us. We miss his companionship. We miss greeting him, his head on our laps, him nudging us for food and watching us cook dinner, playing in the backyard, being able to give him treats, his bark and footsteps around the house, everything. He was so brave to go and we got to be strong for him. We love you, Berry – forever, to the moon and back and so much more. You are our angel in heaven now until we all meet again. We miss you so much. You are always with us. Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die… –Anonymous
