Chloe and I had twelve wonderful years together. Our favorite times were living on the Lost Miner Ranch near Gunnison, Colorado where she ran with the cattle, horses, and mules that inhabited the ranch. We lived in the middle of a mountain hayfield with Tomichi Creek running through it. It was glorious and peaceful. I didn’t have children so Chloe was my kid. She was my warrior, my teacher, my constant companion with no judgement, and unconditional love. We experienced life together, whether it be good or bad, I did the best I could and wish I could have done better. We are all left with a void in our life, because Chloe’s energy was so BIG! When Chloe was a puppy, she used to try to crawl inside of me — that’s how I felt, that she wanted to be so close to me that she was inside of me. When she passed peacefully on November 7, 2020 at 9:47 a.m., I felt like she was finally able to get completely inside of me. That’s where I will carry her forever. I love you Chloe.
