My wife and I are truly blessed to have spent so much beautiful time our boy Cosby. We adopted Cosby when he was 8 weeks old and he filled our lives with more happiness, love and health, then anyone ever deserves. Cosby was a very special Chocolate Labrador mix breed that stayed fairly small ( due to our magical requests ) Only about 65 to 70 lbs. Cosby was an interesting soul. Our very first Christmas he caught me putting his toys under the tree in the middle of the night. When he saw that I saw him, he tore ass back into the bedroom knowing that he was not supposed to be peeking at the presents. The next morning he sat 10 feet away from the tree shaking and shivering in anticipation. I am not kidding when I say he absolutely took on the personality of a 5 year old boy waiting to open up his Red Rider beebee gun.It was one of the most hilarious and interesting things I had witnessed from a dog up until that point. Well as you can guess, he ripped into the presents and played for hours. Of course, this went on Christmas after Christmas.. Most may not believe this, but he had soul of a joyous human child somewhere deep inside him. I lived it and watched it flow out of him for the next 13 years. Cosby, was one of the most agile and amazing frisbee dogs I have ever seen! He could literally leap 7′ into the air and gracefully snag a high flying frisbee with intense precision. We played frisbee everyday, rain or shine (grounders on windy days) until the day before he passed. He also was a lover, a smiler, and a hugger. ( A hugger sometimes, sometimes he was to grown up for all the hugs from mom and dad.) Cosby had a great friend in Jasper (the spotted yak ) hounddog. His best friend for 10 years. And then another smaller version of the spotted yak , a hounddog named Buckley. He lived and played with Buckley for the last 3 years of his life. Buckley is still with us and he sure did take it hard when Cosby moved on to the afterlife. However, Buckley has found a new friend and is doing much better. (But Buckley does miss you Cosby, he thinks about you everyday) The cool thing about Cosby, is that he was so happy and lived such a wonderful life, that when he passed he left us with so many great memories that we can only be thankful, definitely sad, but overwhelmingly thankful… My wife and I had cried for several days, but then started to realize that Cosby just wanted us to Live, Laugh, and Love… ” Cosby, you know that we love you very much and will join you, Jasper, and Stymey, someday soon. You were our Brownie ! The sweetest Brownie in the entire world ! Keep chasing squirrels, hunting rabbits, and snagging high flying frisbees ! ” You have truly been my best friend … Love your dad Aaron .
