Crestone

November 19, 2016 by

Crestone was an amazing dog and soul. He had a very calm friendly demeanor, but still could be very playful at times. Most people knew him for his drooling because of his large gums and sock stealing when he wanted to get your attention.  He climbed two 14teeners (Mt. Bierstadt and Mt. Princeton both in Aug, 2004) in his younger years and even went skiing (belly sledding) with daddy on Loveland pass. One time we were camping on Cotton Wood pass and Crestone woke us up when there was a bear in the back of Gary’s truck stealing our tortillas and cheese out of the cooler. Crestone loved to be up in Breckenridge and outdoors in general.  He enjoyed going for walks and as he got older I swear he learned to spell the word walk:) He loved playing ball, but sometimes I think he loved skinning the fuzz off of tennis balls even more. When we got Crestone we lived in a condo in Broomfield and as we began looking for our home we knew we needed something with good backyard for him.  When we walked up to our house we did not go in the first time we just saw the backyard and in through the windows and could see the place had a dog door.  We were sold! Crestone loved it and the ironic thing is that it was only several blocks away from where the breader lived that we got Crestone from. Crestone will be very missed by his family and friends and we are blessed to have had him touch our lives in so many ways.  RIP Crestone Lucky Seven Strausser December 7th, 2003-May 16, 2013.
