It is with a heavy heart that I tell you that the love of my life, Daisy “Rat Dog” passed away today at the age of 14. Daisy was a survivor of the California Wild Fires in 2007. She came to Colorado in a school bus with 80 other dogs, and was placed in a warehouse. She adopted us the day we met, and came home to live with us in Oct. 2007. She has brought joy and love to our lives every day since then. Daisy was very good at giving and receiving love, and being a calm and loving presence in our home. She loved being held, and had an ongoing contest as to who could sleep the longest…her Daddy or her. She won most of the time. She will be sorely missed, but we are relieved that she is no longer in pain. Rest in peace my angel, and we will see you at the Rainbow Bridge with all of our other loved dogs. You were a precious gift every day of your life.
Love,
Mommy and Daddy
