We were lucky enough to know Daisy from birth, and she graced our life with her presence for nearly 11 years. She was one of the sweetest and smartest dogs I have ever known. She would cry and make “chew bacca” noises when people she loved (and she loved them all) would show up. she would show off a toy, and then give hugs and kisses to friends. She gave the best hugs, and in her mind, everyone who came to visit was here to visit her. From the time she was a puppy, she picked out the biggest toys from the pet store. Bones bigger than her head, ropes she would trip over when carrying them, logs from the firewood pile. She was strong and fearless, and actually seemed to enjoy making us laugh. We will forever be heartbroken at her sudden illness and death. She was one special dog-I felt an understanding with Daisy on a soul level. Daisy, may your rest be peaceful, and may you dream of chasing rabbits, carrying big sticks, and people who love you always.
