Dalana

Our beautiful Standard Poodle was strong, athletic, gentle, smart, sweet and loving. A wonderful family dog, the first seven years of her life with previous owners was on a small farm – chasing chickens and children and having eight puppies. We purchased one of those puppies, and eventually, an opportunity came up to bring mother Dalana into our home too. She loved to run around our large back yard with her daughter Rosie, sun herself on the back deck and going on long walks near our house on the bike path. My elderly Mom moved in with us about 5 years ago and Dalana became a special, helpful, healing friend to her. I will especially miss giving Dalana big hugs. She would wrap her head and long lovely neck around me and return the hug! She also had a special strong spirit about her. Even near the end when her backs legs were failing, she insisted on lunging to jump off the step to the yard and we had to hold her back to keep her safe. She gave life her all, and loved with everything she had. God knew you would be a great gift to us. We will love you forever Lady Dalana.
