We let Deena go in our home, on 10/18/13. We believe we did it just in time before she was in complete crisis. The vet from Home to Heaven said she looked like she was ready to go. I did not think I could do this in my home, but it truly was a last loving gesture for sweet Deena. Bill and I sat with her for 2 hours before the vet got there. Deena, so loving, still wanted to give us her paw. Michelle, the vet, said she passed so graciously, and gracious and loving was what Deena was all about. She came into our lives 10 years ago from Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies and has been the sweetest dog you can ever imagine; she believed the whole world loved her. There are not enough adjectives to describe the integrity, kindness and respect we received from Home to Heaven. It made this painful letting go a bit easier.
