The Gift of Gabby
There is so much to say about Gabby, first of all she named herself. She talked, not barked all the time, and she ALWAYS had an opinion. She had great facial expressions too. One of our favorite was her pout when it was time to go home after a fun weekend of camping. She took her ball playing very seriously, loved to go for rides, loved walks. We laughed that she liked to go ” bush whacking” because many times staying on the trial wasn’t her cup of tea! Born in Alaska, she spent more than half of her life there. Snow was her favorite! She would bury her head in the snow and run. And ball playing did not cease when it snowed, even the winter we had a record breaking 136″ of snow. Gabby was the most amazing companion, she listened, snuggled, loved, and protected us. She was with us all the time. Loyal to the end. We were blessed to have her for over ten years. But the blessing continue because she left us with so many wonderful memories. We cry a lot. Getting used to her not being here is so hard. She was part of everything. Our tears often turn to smiles as we remember fun times with her. What a blessing. Missing you and loving you always Gabby- forever in our hearts
