When we brought Ghost into our home 2 years and 2 months before he passed on March 16, 2016, he had recently been rescued from a life on a 3 foot chain, starving, and with no shelter in a backyard in Southern Colorado. He was brought to the rescue organization we foster for, and we agreed to take him in as a long term foster knowing he probably only had 3 to 6 months left to live, he was in such bad shape. But with a little love, good food, and a warm bed he actually began to flourish. Though his back legs were badly atrophied from life on a short chain he absolutely loved to go for walks. He especially loved to smell the pine trees and would stick his entire face into the branches to get a good sniff. He had a magical presence and a loveable funny personality. He endured more in his life than any living creature should have to, but we were so honored and blessed to make the last couple of years of his life sweet, comfortable, and full of love. You are and will be missed for as long as we live my precious boy.
