Gracie was our first Berner, and she sold us on the breed. She lived like a queen for 10 1/2 years but she repaid us with abundant love and devotion. She truly thought she was a lap dog and would lean against you while sitting on your feet. It was such a sad day when we had to say goodbye to this sweet girl on 11/29/2019. Our hearts are shattered, but we will always have the precious memories of her big cow eyes, the way she walked (and looked) like a bear, her excitement to see you when you came home (even if it was to get the mail), her jealousy when we brought Hazel (our 2nd Berner) home…and so much more. She filled our home and hearts with love. We will miss seeing her lounging around the house, especially in the middle of the kitchen while I was cooking, and Hazel and I miss her while we take our long morning walks. She was a great dog and companion to me. You take care my sweet little bear! You will always be in my heart, and I look forward to seeing you in Heaven!
