My beloved Hans came into my life as an 8-week-old, black fluffy ball, as a rescue from Kentucky. His given name by them was Garth and he was just such a sweetie. He was a birthday present to an empty nest mama, who longed for a black cat, as they are most euthanized in shelters. He filled the hole in my heart, my lovey. He turned out to be my heart cat. He was a sweetheart, talker, and lovey buddy, always wanting to be held, jumping up on my bed in the morning, giving kisses, and waiting for me when I’d get home. Every day for 15 years and two months, I loved having him in my life, my delight, my joy. He made our home full and was kind to other pets, dogs, and cats who came to live, he loved to wander our yard, visit the chickens, sit on the rocks in the sun, hang out under the deck, and would come when I called him. Always my cuddle buddy, always my friend are the best days and the worst. His sparkle, love, sweetness, kindness, talkativeness, and presence in our home and yard will be missed so much. But he will live forever in my heart and mind as my heart cat. My friend Hans. I miss his little face so much and know I will see him again. Beth Evans
