Hudson was adopted from Wayside Waifs animal shelter in Kansas City on August 8, 2004 and was the best wedding present for which a young couple could have ever asked. We don’t know much about the first year and a half of his life, but we do know that he was a lovable, funny bundle of fur who loved to stick his head out of sunroofs and windows, play tug-of-war and go everywhere with us those first few years in Lawrence, KS and then Denver. Eventually, Hudson moved with us to Windsor, CO and took on the role of family dog as he gained two human sisters and one human brother. Although he didn’t wear his affections on his sleeve, he loved them very much and exhibited great patience for his human siblings. Domestic life didn’t slow Hudson down too much, though — over the course of his wonderful life, he took over 10,000 walks! Hudson was a constant companion and source of love and strength for his parents. We miss him so very much and know that he is waiting at the top of the stairs for us. He was and always will be our “forever dog!” We miss you buddy!
