KEISHA…
A very important and special girl. My first Canaan Dog, my friend and companion. Keisha taught me so much about the breed. Fun loving and sweet, a protector, a guard dog, and what a wonderful sense of humor. She chose me many years ago when I drove to Minnesota to pick out a puppy. I sat down in the backyard to watch the litter of Canaan Dogs play. She left her litter mates, came over crawled into my lap, stretched up to give me a puppy kiss, then curled up in my lap. She was stingy with her kisses, I think I only ever received three or four throughout her lifetime with me. Yes, she chose me, what a gift. What is so very important and special about Keisha is that she is my friend and companion, forever at my side. Good bye my sweet girl, we will meet again.
