Liebe is German for love; and that she was for 20 years. We got Liebe (aka Dweebster or Mouse) as a kitten when we were in college and spent way too much time playing with her rather than studying, but I think we turned out all the better for it. She loved to fetch a tin foil ball and would retrieve it and drop it at our feet. She also loved to climb Christmas trees, sleep under Christmas trees and in sun spots, fall in fish tanks occasionally and eat pumpkin pie. Dweebster enjoyed being petted and brushed, as well as being told she was pretty. She was my constant companion and knew every stupid thing I ever did, and she loved me unconditionally anyway. She was a gentle, smart and beautiful cat. I thought I would have a hard time deciding when to part with her, but she knew my habit of waffling indecision and so made it easy for me, and Kathleen made it peaceful for both Dweebster and I to be in the comfort of our little home with our other two kitties, Cricket and Kita. I miss her terribly but am glad for the years we had together and that she had a great life right to the end. I love you Mouse.
