Lily was a petite, completely black cat who was my friend and companion for 21 years. She was small in size but large in personality, a very feisty little lady. She had the tiniest paws I’ve ever seen. I used to tell her she had “lady paws”. Lily was smart, inquisitive and adventurous when she was young. She brought in a live mouse and a live baby sparrow into the house at different times. Quite the hunter. Fortunately I was able to save both of them. Lily moved from California to Colorado with me eight years ago and adjusted very well. As she grew older, she became a house cat; loving to lay in the front window and take sun baths. She would also lay in my lap or beside me on the sofa. Lately she would get behind me on the sofe and butt my the back of my head with hers until I reached back and petted her. She was independent but loving. I will miss her but am thankful that I had the opportunity to share life with her. She gave unconditional love. Dr. Amber was kind and compassionate in helping her make the transition to heaven.
