Lily Weigold

November 19, 2016 by

Lily came to our family in Oct.1998. We got her as a Papillion puppy at 8 weeks old. Her birthday was 8/3/98. She was the pick of the litter when she stepped on Norm’s foot and looked up at him. As a puppy and throughout her life, she was a pampered princess. Lily had specific traits and interactions with each of us. She loved to tease Camille and to be doted on by Rachelle, and played with by Norm as well as a walking companion for Debbie. We walked every night unless raining or snowing, for she loved to check her “pee mails”. She was an integral part of our celebrations for she loved to chase tissue paper balls and help us rip open packages. She also loved nightly dinner time, for she ate her food and then entertained us by dancing and tapping the table leg, until Norm gave her a treat from his plate. She was a faithful “doggie doorbell” and protector, liking females more than males. She was fun to take to Glenwood Springs when we went and even got stuck waiting for us on the window sill once. For almost 16 years she gave us daily joy! Always greeted us at the door and faithfully waited patiently for her “pot pets”. She loved to be fresh and clean. And eventhough her “Spa Days” at home were troublesome, she strutted like a peacock when she was all beautified, but do not touch those paws! She will be missed forever and is a fond memory in our hearts.
