Lucy came into our lives 13 years ago and brought us so much joy. She moved with us from Colorado to North Carolina and back to Colorado, was a huge part of our kids’ school years, and provided that unconditional love that we’d like to adopt as humans! She developed bone cancer just before turning 13 which caused a fracture in her right humorous. She was able to get around just until the last few days when she wasn’t bearing any weight on that leg. It was clear it was time to set her free. Our hearts are broken as we adjust to life without her. Thank you, Lucy, for all that you gave us. You are forever in our hearts and we have wonderful memories to keep your spirit alive.
