Miss Peggy Sue

November 19, 2016 by

Miss Peggy Sue ~Adopted at 6 years old on September 24, 2001 ~Departed peacefully and with love on September 21, 2012 Peggy came into my life about two weeks after September 11th. Feeling sadness from the recent events, I noticed a sign advertising two kitties available for adoption while driving by my Vet’s office, and immediately went to see them. I learned that Peggy Sue had been living at the Vet for about a year – she had been abandoned and was expecting kittens so the vet staff took her in, where she had her five kittens. They gave her the name “Peggy Sue,” taking it from the movie ‘Peggy Sue Got Married’, as she had kittens out of wedlock :-). I’m told she was a good mama and everyone loved her. I loved her right away and adopted her that day.  ~ Peggy’s claim to fame: She was a tree-hugger – would run full speed up the tree then just hang there. 🙂 ~ Her mantra: “I am all about love.” ~ She loved: to purr, cuddle, play with toys and bring them to me. ~ What I will miss the most: Her presence, her sweet nature, and the love she brought into my life. Thank you sweet Peggy for being a part of my life these past 11 years. I will miss you and am forever grateful for you.

Love Christine
