Molly Martin

September 18, 2024 by

We got Molly on Valentine’s Day in 2016. I knew right then she was much more than a dog. She was my everyday companion. She stayed on a leash until I knew she would stay by my side and she did exactly that no matter where I went. She went to work with me up in Estes Park for the next 5 years until I retired. Every day she rode in a loader with me and we stayed in a camper. She was so caring and understood what we were saying when we talked to her.

On weekends she was such a joy to the family. I Remember that she played with our grandchild Brielyn when she was very small. Not once did I ever hear Brielyn say ouch. Molly knew her limits.

Molly loved going for rides and being by her humans. She was diagnosed with kidney failure at the same time I became sick. We fed her with a spoon 4 x a day and she got fluids twice a week. She gained weight and strength. She was amazing. I truly believe she knew she had to stay well until I got better and she did this. She took care of her humans. There will never ever be another Molly.

Molly is greatly missed by her family and her sissy Dixie.

Your beloved pet is sick

The diagnosis and subsequent prognosis aren't good. Now is the time to contemplate advanced animal hospice care or putting your pet to sleep (euthanasia). But where do you turn for help? What are the next steps? How do you make this final period of your companion’s life as peaceful as possible? Read more...
