Ralph and I adopted Natasha from the Humane Society three years ago when she was 12. We learned she’d already had two previous cycles through the Humane Society throughout her life.
She was so beautiful and affectionate. I had seen a lot of cats and kittens that day, and after meeting her I knew down to my bones that she was the one for me. We got a lot of praise for adopting an older cat, but that’s not why we got her. I simply fell in love with her.
She had a stroke about a year and a half ago, and her life was never the same. Her strength slowly deteriorated and her enjoyment of life became more and more limited. Home to Heaven came last weekend and provided very loving, heart-felt and realistic feedback about her current state. We tearfully decided that her time had come.
She was in my arms, surround by the other kitties, when she took her last breath. It was so peaceful for all of us. I am so thankful for the services Home to Heaven provide.
