Nicole

Nicole was our beautiful Red-Tri Aussie with golden eyebrows who was rescued from Max Fund. Her greatest trick was delicately taking band-aids off her people! She guarded Mom with her life and loved living on our farm. She stood point when the other dogs chased rabbits. She herded everything…horses, dogs, chickens, people. She was the matron alpha dog in our pack of dogs and kept them in line, including Aussie sister Pepper! Our neighbor Bob was her soul friend, the only person she didn’t nip at! She loved riding in cars, barking at the waves at the lake, eating Dad’s ice cubes, and people food. She would have been a great mom. She was so tender with litters of kittens and baby chicks we raised. When her back legs were giving out, she sat on her bottom, and played with mini Aussie sister Minnie Mouse by letting her put her head in her mouth! Nicole gave great kisses her entire life. She was stoic until the end despite the pain, and we will love her forever. Ellen & Curt
