Ossie (short for Little Osmond) came into my life in May 2003 as a two-year-old. My constant companion, he followed me all around the house and yard. I called him a momma’s boy, but now I know that works both ways because there is a big hole in my heart since he passed in June 2016 at age 15.
A sweet, gentle dog, he loved everyone and you could see his feelings get hurt if his overtures weren’t returned, which wasn’t often. Daily walks were when he shined…so happy to greet other animals and people alike, especially kids because their faces were within easy kissing distance.
A silly boy, he played games with his toys, throwing them around to animate them and fight them for treats before he eventually won and claimed his prize.
He is missed by all who knew him, but “missing him” is not a big enough phrase for how I feel. Rest in peace, my little man.
