With much love and sadness I write this post to honor the best dog and friend a family could have. We adopted Payton at age 2 from Golden Retriever Rescue prior to children. Payton was our first child until our human child was born. Payton was a RUNNER and a long distance one! He would run for miles with my husband and I and then want more. He would never leave one of us behind. Years later we had two children and Payton laid outside their rooms each night as they feel asleep. Payton followed me everywhere, including the shower to always make sure his mom was alright. He greeted his Dad each day with barks and love as he entered the home after a long days work. There is a hole in our hearts since he is gone. We know he is off with his other dog friends in doggie heaven, but that doesn't mean we don't miss him dearly. We love you so much Payton and we know you had a great life! The picture posted is of Payton at age 2.
