My dog Aquanetta (Nettie), a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, was named after a beautiful Indian woman that did commercials in Arizona back in the day Nettie retrieved her first 2 pheasants at 9 months old and those were my first birds I had ever shot .  We now had that bond She loved to retrieve and loved to swim.  She had 1 litter of puppies, all of them were donated  to the Ducks Unlimited auction at Christmas.  We were members and knew they would all go to good homes.  It was great fun having a house of 8 little cheasies.  I still receive a Christmas card each year from one of the families telling me how happy they are to have a Cheasapeake Bay Retriver as part of their family and it makes me feel so happy.  I am very grateful for the 14 1/2 years my Nettie gave to me RIP my Cheasapeake Bay Retriver, Nettie You will always be with me.
