This is Ripley, a tricolored German Shepard. She was my Princess and I will always love her. She gave me all of her devotion and unconditional love.

She would be with me when and wherever I went, constantly ready to go. From taking the trash out, driving to the store, checking the mail or even to get a glass of water in the middle of the night, my girl would spring to my side, following me everywhere.

Whenever I came home she was there waiting by the door. Barking until I could get it open, which was never fast enough. She would greet me with a lick and a wag of the tail. Showing me her happiness that I had finally came back home to her.

She loved short and long Jeep rides, sticking her head out the windows and letting her tongue flap in the wind. Even more she loved long walks. She would pull me down every street and up any hill. Never wanting to stop, just to keep on going.

She enjoyed playing, tugging, fetching a squeak ball or finding the lost toy. She was a hunter, watching closely anything she saw. No deer, squirrel, duck or dog was ever going to get near me. No one could walk in front of the house without her announcing her presence, letting them know that they needed to keep on walking by.

She showed no fear to man or beast. Never scared of anyone or anything, other then thunder. But I was her thunder buddy and together we could chase that away too.

She was the nicest dog to me. Showering me with her love by cuddling in my lap every morning and lying next to me in or by my bed every night. She had the habit of coming up behind me so that my hand was right at ear level and I could pet them. Ripley continuously wanted my attention and in return gave me all the affection she had.

I know she will always be with me. I will remember her each and everyday. But it is the love she gave me that I will miss the most, until I finally open the door and she can be by my side once again.
