My sweet Lily Jo,

The hardest decision I’ve ever made was letting you go. Your brain, eyes, ears, wagging tail, and loving heart were still young, but your body was tired. Just shy of 15 years we shared with your beautiful soul. From the moment we heard that puppy howl at the shelter, we knew we wanted you before we even saw you. You were always happy to see us with those golden eyes and tail wagging. I will miss those wet kisses and non-stop howls until I got out of bed to feed you breakfast.

Your unconditional love helped us through many hard days. Thank you for taking care of us as much as we took care of you. You have left a large void that will never be filled. My heart is shattered. Though some may say you were just a pet, you were my baby for 15 years and I’m lost without you. Run free without pain my sweet mama girl.
