I will miss sweet Simon very much.  He was always the kitty who accepted new kitties in the home first.  Simon always loved butting his head into any idle hand he saw for petting.  Simon spent many nights sleeping next to me snuggled up to my belly and near my face.  Simon never complained.  He was always grateful for whatever was given to him.  Simon had the loudest purr of contentment.  He was very social & loved being part of everything.  I will miss my precious Simon peeking through the glass bedroom door waiting for me to get up in the morning to let him in while I got ready for work.  Simon always loved to chew on shoestrings.  His favorite toy was a squeaky mouse.  I am grateful Simon and I crossed paths & we got to be part of each other's life for 14 years.  I will miss my dear friend sweet Simon.  Fly free my angel.  May there be an endless supply of Greenies for you at the other side of the rainbow bridge.  This is Simon's bio at the Boulder Valley Humane Society when I adopted him 14 years ago today.  Simon (fka Barney) was only 9 weeks old at the time.  "7/10/00. One of a feral litter of 4, Barney is truly a prince.  He is the biggest of his litter, but he is the gentlest, kindest guy.  Barney has a brother with only 3 legs, and though all the litter get along with the 3 legged kitten, Barney is somehow the kindest and seems like a loving, caring big brother.  He takes extra time to play with Wilmer (3 legs) just the way Wilmer likes to play - no high climbing, jumping, chasing - just gentle batting at each other, and a good wrestling match.  Never "grabby" about food, not particularly territorial, Barney is good natured and VERY affectionate and talkative.  Has a good appetite, plays well with others, likes people, is used to gentle dogs.  With his striking looks, great disposition, calm and gentlemanly manner, this is a real classy and intelligent cat."  I always knew you were special Simon.  I love you and will miss you until we meet again.
