Wow... to write this is tough.  I thought after a couple weeks (2/26 to be exact), I thought I'd be tougher, steeled to my feelings of losing Sage.  No dice.  Those critters bore their way into our hearts, nestled right into our memories and create special spots in our homes that will always ALWAYS be "theirs". Sage was our first child.  Not mine, I had a dog before I met Brandon, but ours... we got married, we built a house, we got OUR dog.  She chose us, let's be clear, we did not choose her.  She was always a sweet little girl. Sage loved four things:  Brandon, one other dog, fetch, and food. Brandon was her beacon, it never mattered who else was around if daddy was.  No poker face there, daddy was everything!!  She loved her big brother, Scout.  Really, the only dog she ever loved, or maybe even liked.  She tolerated other dogs, but she loved Scout.  The other thing Sage loved, fetch.  Yeah, she's a lab, of course she liked fetch.  But, not like other dogs.  She was obsessed with fetch;  tennis balls, sticks, the little left-over pieces of felt from chew toys that are long gone & vaccuumed up, yeah, obsessed.  Sage made everyone play with her.  Even. If. You. Didn't. Want. To.  She loved chocolate (even though forbidden) and red wine.  Yeah, a real woman.  She was intense, smart, sweet, soft and at the end of the day, you always wanted her around. You are loved, you are missed, you are our baby girl... Sager Rager, Princess, Missy Shit
