For Luna...my "Protector & Soul Mate",When I first met you I was just divorced and I went to find my emancipation dog...I intended to buy the all black german shepherd...but, instead, you picked me, and I could not resist those beautiful brown eyes and and white eye lashes...from then on we were forever bonded! I dedicate these thoughts to you. I love you and miss you terribly,  3/2/2000-12/28/2013.   I have a broken heart...I said goodbye to my devoted companion the other day. My Luna is now painfree and now has joined others I have loved with equal devotion. (Tell Kona, Leo, Nutmeg, Max, & Tyre I love and miss them too!) But, what separated you from the pack was the depth of our bond. As a gift to myself, she was my 1st german shepherd, and has been by my side with my shadow ever since. Her strength, intelligence, and courage have astounded me, and impacted my life in ways immeasurable and umimaginable. Her touching my life just short of 14 years came at a time of new beginnings...she gave me her all and I am so grateful and honored for the depth of our bond. She has been my soul mate! As hip dysplasia and arthritis ravaged her body, I tried with all I could to keep her comfortable, But her pain took a toll on both of us, and the magnification at the end was too much for both of us. She knew the time had come,..she left giving me her tender kissed and loving gaze. I honor her memory with profound gratitude, Though her physical touch forever gone, her spirit is falways with me. Her strength love and devotion will forever hold me up. Be at peace my love...my Luna...
