Marti was my first baby. I picked her out of a litter of Spring Spaniel pups because she seemed to have the most character - boy was I right! She was a true sweetheart, a dog that never met a stranger. Her passion was camping. She got so excited to see us packing to head to the mountains. She also loved swimming. Many times we watched her swim effortlessly – paddle, paddle, kick, kick! She didn’t fetch a stick she truly just loved to swim. When I got married and had kids she transitioned so easily to a family dog. She loved my husband and our kids (especially when they started eating table food)! It’s so hard to say goodbye to such a wonderful companion and loyal friend. Even though our house if full of sounds it sits empty without our Marti. I’m thankful that for 11 years our lives were enriched with her presence as she taught us to love without hesitation, eat like it’s your last meal and if the water hole is deep enough by all means – SWIM!
