March 17, 1996 – August 3, 2012

You were my closest companion, my sweetest friend, the love of my life. You gave your all and then you gave some more. For almost 17 years, you were my anchor and my rock. You were my alarm clock and loved sitting on my shoulders as I got ready for the day. I will miss you there. You loved the outdoors and gave me many reasons for panic, but your strength and smarts outdid all the predators. You filled my dark with light and brought joy to my sadness. You were a perfect example of unconditional love, mercy and compassion. Your play brought us laughter and your sweet love, pure happiness. How much you taught me. You were an accomplished hunter, an intrepid traveler, and through thick and thin, on boats and in mountains, you walked by my side. I will look for you in the cool evening breeze, the sunlight on snow and in the twinkling stars in the night sky. Your beauty is so great, you will never be far from my sight. Your life, a tremendous blessing and never forgotten. I thank God for you. Gabi, precious girl, I love you forevermore.
