I rescued Glimmer at age 9 yrs and we had almost 6 yrs together. She always had a very strong independent spirit and was full of life for the past five years.

As my son lay dying in pallative care I would place her in his bed and place his hand on her back. Hoping that he at least felt the comfort of this beautiful spirited dog.

I advise folks to consider rescuing older dogs as they are a real comfort and so understanding of life.
