We've never had a dog bond with us quite like Little Bit did. She came to us at five years of age, escaping (her words) from a home where she was loved, but confined to a kennel. We became her whole world. Wherever I went in our home, she would follow. Not only that, she insisted that I go get her dog nest so she could lie down next to me in comfort -- giving a whole new meaning to "dog training". We're really going to miss her. We'll never get over losing her, and it's going to take a long time for the pain to become bearable.
