Thank you for being with us these past sixteen years. I love you so very, very much!!

You have been the most loyal friend I have ever had in my life. I hope you know how much I love you and how much you mean to me! I do not know how I will ever be able to live without you. I know you will always be with me in my heart, mind, and spirit.

Thank you for always keeping us safe. You are the only one who has ever been able to let us know who the good people are and who the bad people are.

Shasta, you are the most beautiful and intelligent being I have ever known, or will ever know. I do not know how to say goodbye. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I am sorry if you have ever had to feel pain or suffering. I promise you I have done everything in my capacity to make you as comfortable as I know how.

You get to go and be with Jesus now. You deserve that more than any of us. You won't be in pain anymore and you will be able to run and jump and play again, just like you used to. I hope you have been as happy being with us as we have been with you.
