Babe joined my life when she was 3 years old. She was overweight, about 157 lbs, but so beautiful. I thought exercise was all she needed, but the weight wouldn't come off. Within a year she was diagnosed hypothyroid. The medication worked for a while, may have lost 15 lbs. Even with increased medication, it would only slow her weight gain. She had health issues, as one could see from her size. It's what you couldn't see that makes her so special, the size of her heart. Babe was so sweet, she never jumped up onto anyone, she would just sit and wait for you to come to her. She was a gentle dog with a vicious bark. You might say she was all bark and no bite. She was a real lovable dog, she rarely gave out kisses or licks, so if you got one it was special. Babe was almost 8 years old and 180 lbs.

That was Babe, my big beautiful special girl. She will be missed by so many. Everyone loved her."Goodbye baby girl"
