CJ was born in 2007 and he would have turned 14 years old within a few weeks. He was a long haired Lynx point. Our granddaughter, Danielle picked him from a litter for her 15th birthday. She loved and took care of CJ until she moved into her own place, which did not accept pets. Danielle didn’t want to place him in a shelter, but she felt maybe Gram and Grandpa would take him. We have loved and enjoyed CJ for the past 7 years. We never felt his name CJ fit him, so we started calling him Mister Kitty or Buddy. We also referred to ourselves as Grandma and Grandpa. I just know sometimes when he would meow he was saying Grand Ma.
Our home was his castle and he knew he was boss. He was spoiled. We know he loved and depended on us, and we love him so very much. He brought us comfort, laughter and friendship.
Mister Kitty, I use to tell you, “You have such a pretty little face”. You would look into my eyes and it would melt my heart. You did special things with “Grandpa”, jump-ups and waking him early in the morning so he would feed you. You weren’t one for riding in the truck, but you loved to go camping and look out the screen door at the chipmunks and birds.
Mister Kitty we miss you terribly. We will meet again someday.
We love you,
Grandma and Grandpa and Mommy
