5/5/2007-3/3/2025 Jack came from a 2007 litter we fostered called “The Pirate Kitties.” Being the biggest of the litter he received the leading character’s name, Captain Jack Sparrow. My daughter chose to adopt him forever as he showed such an endearing and dare I say suave habit, by holding your face in his paws when he gazed at your face. It was adoration that went both ways. He grew up with his best cat pal, Speckles, a year younger than him. Jack was a cat that even cat haters loved. He had that “cat mojo” or magnetism that won everyone’s heart. Plus, he had the softest fur you had ever felt. Even the vets who were helping him in his last days couldn’t stop commenting on his handsomeness. He was a creature of habit but what beautiful habits they were (even the Rum). Every morning and evening were snuggle times right up next to your face with consistently loud purrs and face rubs nonstop. True love. Naps during the day were mostly taken in his Lamb Chair adopted after my daughter had long ago grown up from that toddler chair. When he woke up from those cat naps he’d call out for you & always sounded relieved when you answered and when he was by your side. Nights were spent before bed on top of a basket of quilts by the fireplace. And during the night was always beside you in the bend of your legs. Jack had that sparkle and twinkle in his eye followed by his slow cat wink of approval which told you he had all the charm of the human Captain Jack Sparrow. He was the best kitty pirate you have ever seen. There is so much we will miss about our 18 year old Jack.  We were honored to be in his life. Sail the High Seas to the World’s End and Beyond, our best friend.
