Monty (Montague's Takin' the High Road), aka “chub chub” was a beautiful chocolate lab and more importantly, he was a love expert. We joked that when he looked at you he was soul gazing. He was always happy and ready for anything with his humans and dog family. Monty was born into my hands, the last in a litter of 7 puppies we had at home. He weighed 1 lb. at birth and over 100 lbs. as an adult. Monty was an amazing retriever, swimmer, and loyal friend. He followed me everywhere and loved to snuggle. A favorite memory is of Monty carrying a deer skull in his soft mouth home from the woods - antlers sticking out the sides . He was also known to hold Easter eggs in his mouth that he found hidden for my daughter in the yard. Monty's ears were exquisitely soft, he had flowing man rolls all over his body, and he was always happy to warm up your feet. He loved us well and we will miss him dearly. Run free sweet boy. Love from your human mama and sister Betsy & Paloma
