Moose was always a ball of energy and always under foot, which earned him the nickname of ‘annoying.’ I will now miss ‘my shadow’ every day and miss stepping over him as he always laid right in the middle of the floor. As a Golden, he exemplified empathy and always knew when I was hurting and would come lay his head in my lap. Even when I was crying about loosing him, he came over and offered love and empathy. No dog will ever replace his unconditional love and the love I felt for him, but I’m grateful that God gives us pets to love, even for a short time, although I wish they’d live forever.
