Koa was born on the day we let our beloved golden retriever Alex go, January 27, 2010. The name Koa is Hawaiian and means "brave, bold, fearless". Koa was all of that and more throughout his relatively short life. Koa was a constant companion to my wife and me, whether on a morning walk with my wife or a ride in the truck with me or just watching TV in the family room. Koa also had a best cat friend Phin. Phin is a male Burmese and he loved Koa. Koa loved the outdoors whether in the summer rolling in the grass or in the winter rolling in the snow. Koa was a great greeter when company would arrive he loved to be notice and wanted you to pet him. Even when fighting the cancer he had he would never miss the chance to greet somebody in our house or while at the mail box outside when we picked up our mail. Koa’s last day with us was November 10, 2019. Koa will join our 4 other golden retrievers where the good lord watchers over all the beloved pets.
