Phoenix was a fearless little guy with a soft spot for snuggling and love in his soul that ran a mile wide. We got to know him on his 1st day in the world and enjoyed every minute that we had with him over his 15 years. Chasing squirrels and bunnies as a puppy were among his favorite pastimes. There was always a lump in any blanket left out that held a warm and happy dog. If we didn’t have a blanket on the couch, inside of our tee-shirt would suite just fine. In his latter years the southern exposure of the kitchen was his place to hang out in the sunshine and bake himself. The most painful part of growing older with our best friend was watching dementia tear his mind apart, be at peace now “P-Man”. They say dog is man’s best friend…there is no shortage in that statement when it came to Phoenix. He was the best friend we could have ever asked for to grace our lives! 15 years was a great run but not long enough. Rest in peace buddy, we will find you on the other side!
