None of us really knows what happens after we die, so we don’t know where the world’s sweetest dog went. I suspect it’s the same place she went when she dreamed, nose twitching, feet flying as she finally caught those elusive squirrels and rabbits. Rhia was a flat-coated retriever rescue puppy when we found each other. She preferred to chase the ball, but make you chase her to get it back. Though not food-obsessed, she loved treats like cheese, rice, and chicken. In truth she was a flat-coated non-retriever/treat hound mix. Rhia lived up to her breed: sweet-tempered, friendly, sensitive, intelligent, patient, and loyal. She loved everyone she met and they loved her. Rhia loved to play, go to the dog park, run fast, take walks, and above all visit our mountain cabin. That’s where we’ll place her ashes, forever in her favorite spot. Goodbye Rhiannon Rayner Fried, faithful four-legged friend. Thanks for being part of our family forever. We miss you fiercely.
