Sweet Rio, we miss you so much. You and I went through so much together, and you were there, loving me and helping me, always. So many adventures! From the moment you picked me out when I first visited your litter to that last breath you took, wrapped in my arms. I can never thank you enough and your other mother and I hope that our love will carry you always, as we will carry you always in our hearts. Sweet Rio, we still hear your “roo roo roo!” at dinnertime, still feel the velvety softness of your fur. We laugh when we remember your quirky sense of humor, your sly silliness; we remember your gracefulness, your curiosity, your intentness. We see you basking in the sun, nestled by the warmth of the fire, napping on the bed with your head on the pillow. You were a singular spirit; there will never be another like you, sweet Rio. Run far, run happy. We love you and miss you.
