Santa brought Rosie to us on Christmas day, 2002. We were immediately smitten by that little ball of fluff. In the beginning, it was difficult at times. She wasn’t the best student at obedience school, walking was more like running while dragging the kid behind her and she had a few accidents at home, but who doesn’t, right? But through all that, she loved us and we sure loved her back.
She loved sunbathing, she loved snow baths, she could bark on command (when a treat was in hand) and she loved walks to where you couldn’t say the word without her getting excited. She was scared of thunder and fireworks, she loved her feline brother Dash and tolerated her feline sister Violet. Most of all, she loved her kids, Michael and Mischa.
She was sweet, she was patient, she was loving and she was very goofy. Her smile and imploring eyes would melt your heart. We had 12 remarkable years with our sweet Rosie. Rosie-licious, as I often called her. She passed January 31, 2015. 12 years, one month and 6 days of adventure, laughter and love.
We miss you and you will forever be in our hearts, our dear, sweet Rosie.
