Sage was my right hand woman. She was my best friend, companion, running partner, hiking partner, road trip navigator, my child. Sage’s passion was squirrels. She couldn’t get enough of them and you never mentioned them if you were not going to park immediately. Sage loved her grandma, maybe because she would stuff her with treats:) All I would have to say is we are going to see her gran and she would wag her tail and stand by the door ready to go. Sage loved her aunt Jayne, all you would have to say is aunt Jayne and her face would light up. She loved the mountains, city park, snow, basically everywhere I went. She always smiled when you walked in the door, even when she knew she was going to get in trouble for something she did. She was very picky on whom she would smile to, so if you didn’t get the smile she basically had no interest in you. Everyone in town knew and loved Sage. She was an awesome sister to Roxy. She taught her everything she knew, whether good or bad. Basically, she was my first child, my first responsiblity, and partner in crime, and I will think about her everyday. I do have to say thank God that she couldn’t talk as I would be in trouble:) I miss her terribly and am lost without her. She had an amazing life and was my true, best friend. RIP Sage, I hope you are having the time of your life up there.
