On Friday, Christmas Day, we had to say goodbye to our beloved Chocolate Lab, Sage. Her beautiful, loving and joyful spirit could no longer be contained in her 11-1/2 year old body. Though she tried bravely to stay for more than a week, it became impossible for her and by Christmas Day it was clear that she could no longer go on.
This was an incredibly difficult and painful decision for us, especially for Wyatt, who has never known life without his 2 “buddies” until now. And though we hated to say goodbye we know she is running in the fields of Heaven with the Lord and is now fully pain-free.
We will miss her greatly and are dedicated to making this transition as easy as possible for her brother, Yukon, who continues to be healthy and very active, and who will continue to be a very important part of our lives for, we hope, a long time to come.
