Sweet Samantha Bears~We are going to miss you!!
Samantha, our loving pup, was born during springtime of the millennium year in San Antonio, Texas. She was a fat, roly-poly puppy, but, before long, she grew into this big, beautiful, cuddly dog. She was a very huggable girl as so many of us who loved her can attest….and Sammy had the SOFTEST ears! She was often a goofy pup too and used to lie upside down next to the wall to get comfortable. She would sit back sometimes on her bed and “zone”, and it was the funniest thing. One thing about Sam, she always knew when it was time to relax or time to go to bed!
Sam was adored by many including my sweet nephews, Jon, Jimmy, and Joseph, who used to hug her and pet her a lot. Jimmy, your Samantha told me to give you a hug for her!
I want to especially thank my sister, Cristina, and brother-in-law, Jim, for looking after Sammy for me awhile I was unable to. She had a wonderful home for three years in Rio Hondo. Even Grandpa gave her tamales and pondulce for breakfast on Sundays!
I’m so grateful that I was able to bring Sam to Colorado because she LOVED it here. We spent many days running through the backyard and parks, playing frisbee – she could catch it, too! We also went on countless walks in the snow. Samantha absolutely loved wintertime in Colorado. She saw red foxes, rabbits, lots of squirrels, and even raccoons and a bear.
Samantha went to heaven on the morning of June 3rd, 2009 in the comfort of her own home. I can’t write enough of Miss Bears except to say that I miss her very much. She was a true gift and was always there for me as a member of my family and as a friend. She was the sweetest, most amazing dog I’ve ever known.
Just MISS you Bears and love you~
Claire, JC, and all of your family
and Skittles and Casey too!
