Her name was Savanna. We called her Banana or Banna. Mostly Banna. She was a very loving, loyal, goofy dog until we had to put her Mama (Dallas, page 23 if you are interested) down four months ago. I knew that she would either give up or step up. She stepped up.
She was an amazing friend. She never wandered, she would stay in the front yard when I was working out there and never even gave a thought to stepping off of our property. She remained sweet and by my side until we had to put her down due to very aggressive, malignant cancer.
She bonded with my youngest son from the second she was born and we all knew that she really was his dog. Grown now, and living in another state, they did not get the chance to say Good-Bye to each other but they both knew that “boy and his dog” love that we all want.
So, Savanna, I hope you found Dallas and that the two of you will play and wait at the Rainbow Bridge until we see you.
